Roy Brown, CEO of Puget Basin Appraisers has more than thirty years of experience appraising in the Puget Sound Region. He has been certified by Washington State since the inception of that state program in the early 90’s. Roy has done residential work, including manufactured housing under his own business since 1988, and is FHA approved. Through all the years and all the clients that come and go, his very first major client still uses his service today, over twenty years later.
Built Green in Puget Sound
Home builders are constantly faced with change. Adapting to updated codes, new materials, and building practices means the latest technology goes into the building of your new home. The most recent innovation in the Puget Sound Region is green building. This is a process that takes into account long term maintenance costs, buying local as much as possible, and moving ever closer to the mecca of home ownership, sustainability. Many appraisers do not take into account the premiun often times found in market research that "Built Green" adds to the value of the home. Wherever possible, through market research, Puget Basin Appraisers is identifying that premium and applying it to appraisal reports.
